    College of Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology and Uniasia Group jointly established a joint training base for graduate students.

    The launching and awarding ceremony of the cooperative project of the College of Food Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology-Uniasia Group Graduate Training Base was held in Uniasia Research Institute on November 17, 2021.Lou Wenyong, Dean of School of Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, Professor Zhang Xuewu, Professor Wu Hong, Professor Li Xiaofeng, Associate Professor Wang Juan, Associate Professor Xu Xilin, etc. came to Uniasia, and attended the launching meeting and unveiling ceremony of the project together with leaders of Uniasia Group President Wu Zhiqing, Vice President Gong Shengzhao, Vice President Chen Qingsheng, R&D Director He Jingyu of Chinese prescription and R&D Director Meng Xiao of skin care products.

     

     

     

    In her welcome speech, Ms. Wu Zhiqing, President of Uniasia Group, said that school-enterprise cooperation is the inherent requirement of enterprise development and progress under the new situation and a strategic measure to achieve win-win. It is both an urgent matter and a long-term plan. Schools and enterprises can complement each other's advantages and share resources through cooperation. Schools can give full play to their scientific research advantages and talent advantages, while enterprises can give full play to their resource advantages and market advantages. School-enterprise cooperation will take the joint training of graduate students as the breakthrough point, further expand cooperation, and actively explore new ideas of combining Industry-University-Research.

     

       

     

    Professor Lou Wenyong, Dean of the School of Food Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology, said that South China University of Technology, as a key university in China, is good at engineering, has a long history of running a school and strong scientific research and innovation ability. School of Food Science and Engineering, in which food science is a national key discipline, and ESI is ranked 33rd in the world, and it has entered the top 1‰ of the global basic scientific index database ESI. The college has undertaken a large number of major scientific research projects of countries, provinces, cities and enterprises, with remarkable achievements with the high-level teaching and research platform. He stressed that the college pays special attention to talent cultivation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and will keep abreast of the latest development trends and demands of enterprises in real time through close cooperation with enterprises, constantly adjust the talent cultivation scheme of students, and continuously send talents to Greater Bay Area. He hopes to make full use of their respective advantages and achieve more fruitful cooperation results through the establishment of a joint training base for graduate students with Uniasia Group and a strong alliance with Uniasia Group.

     

    Later, Dean Lou Wenyong gave a comprehensive introduction to Uniasia about the development course, discipline characteristics, faculty and research strength of the College of Food Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology, as well as achievements in scientific research and technological innovation.

     

       

     

    Finally, Ms. Wu Zhiqing, President of Uniasia Group, said that Uniasia has witnessed and participated in the development of cosmetics industry in the past 30 years. Nowadays, the cosmetic industry has entered an innovative stage, and talents are the foundation of scientific and technological innovation. Uniasia has always attached great importance to the development of talents, and has recruited domestic and foreign scientific research talents from various disciplines. At present, Uniasia has formed a professional R&D team led by doctors and supplemented by masters. And obtained 122 patents (data as of November 1, 2021), published 87 academic papers in national journals, obtained external certification for 29 scientific and technological achievements, and won the Science and Technology Progress Award for 26 scientific and technological achievements. In the future, we hope to integrate the scientific research wisdom of South China University of Technology and carry out more innovative project discussions and cooperation on the basis of the deep market foundation and scientific and technological foundation of Uniasia.

     

       

     

    The establishment of the master's joint training base is an important manifestation of deepening school-enterprise cooperation, cultivating high-level talents and promoting scientific and technological innovation.
